Prominent Activities& Achievements

• Ranking of Polytechnics: The 2nd time ranking among all Govt. and Private Polytechnics in the state was carried out through QCI, New Delhi and the Ranks were published on 08.08.2023 by SCTE&VT. 100 participating Polytechnics were ranked.
• Odisha is the only state in the country to have such Ranking of Polytechnics at state level.
• NBA Accreditation Facilitation: With the initiative from SCTE&VT, 15 out of 21 Govt. Polytechnics have been granted NBA Accreditation during the year 2023-24. Remaining eligible 11 eligible Polytechnics are either awaited of result of visit awaited or waiting for visit of NBA team. All the accreditation granted are for 3 years. One Institute has obtained 2nd time Accreditation in additional discipline.
• Sr. Secondary Certification to ITI Passed outs by NIOS: With the initiative from SCTE&VT, and approval from Principal Secretary, SD&TE Department, a MOU is signed with NIOS, New Delhi on 8.12.2023 for Sr. Secondary Certification of ITI Pass out students by NIOS with passing of additional one or two subjects as required. On successful passing, the ITI Pass out students will have two certificates at the time passing ITI course i.e, NTC and Sr. Secondary Certificate.
• Odisha is the only state in the country to have such MOU to register all eligible.
