BACKGROUND:

Central Placement Cell (CPC) is functioning under the administrative control of Directorate of Technical Education and Training (DTE&T), Odisha, Cuttack under Skill Development and Technical Education (SD&TE) Department, Govt. of Odisha. CPC has huge database of ITI & Diploma pass outs of different Government ITIs, Government / Private Engineering Schools & Polytechnics through registration in the CPC portal. Central Placement Cell became functional since December, 2013.

VISION:

• To contribute towards reducing demand vs. supply gap of skilled manpower and empowering youth of the state with internationally accepted job specific skill set.

• To become a nationally acclaimed organization that would serve as a landscape towards bridging the skill gap that exists between industry and academia. To reach out MSME to large scale Industries to find out their requirement on shop floor & opportunity for the ITI & Polytechnic pass oTuts & make the youth ready according to their requirement through Industry support & co ordination with the Institutions.

MISSION:

• To perform the coordination work very smoothly as a result of which, the placement ratio of unemployed youths has increased considerably and is expected to maintain the pace to meet the requirement of Chief Ministers Employment Generation programme.

• To carryout sensitization programme of Institute placement officers (TPOs) & create awareness regarding the present scenario of Industries requirement.

• To monitor the dissemination of Industry requirement through the TPOs to the students to prepare for the job Interview for Placement.

• To co ordinate for the Training of Trainers (ToT) in different Industries in consultation with the Industries providing placement & make the trainers ready to train the students to be ready for Industries.
